Located along the 'Going to the Sun Road' in St. Mary Lake, Wild Goose Island is an iconic Glacier National Park vista. This image was captured in the summer of 2021 when wildfires were ravaging the American West, closing part of the national park due to safety concerns, but providing a unique opportunity capture the park in a dream like state at sunset long after most of the crowds have gone back to their hotel rooms.
